Counselling

You don't always need to know how to move forward. Sometimes you need somewhere safe to be while you find your way.

Sometimes, you simply need somewhere safe to talk.

Life doesn't always give us a manual. Sometimes something happens that leaves you feeling overwhelmed, hurt, anxious or simply unsure of what to do next. You may be facing grief, relationship difficulties, low self-worth, a major life change or something you never expected to be dealing with at all.

Integrative counselling gives you a confidential, non-judgemental space to make sense of what is happening and how it is affecting you. Rather than following one fixed therapeutic model, I draw from a range of counselling approaches and adapt our sessions to you, your circumstances and what you need in that moment.

We might simply talk. Where helpful, we may also use grounding, breathwork or gentle ways of working with the body to help settle your nervous system. There is no prescribed formula and no pressure to go somewhere you aren't ready to go.

Together, we'll begin to clear the fog, understanding what you're feeling, exploring your situation from different perspectives and finding manageable ways forward. Sometimes difficult experiences can eventually teach us something about ourselves and our lives, but you don't need to find the lesson while you're in the middle of the storm.

This can be a one-off session when something unexpected has happened and you simply need support, or part of ongoing counselling if you would like to explore things more deeply.

Ash balances empathy with honesty at exactly the right time. She is incredibly kind, but knows how to challenge you when it’s needed, so you don’t remain powerless.
