Ash Soul Therapy
These Terms & Conditions explain the basis on which I provide my services. By booking and paying for a session or programme, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.
1. My Services
Ash Soul Therapy offers a range of therapeutic, coaching and spiritual services, including Counselling, Shadow Work, Parenting Your Inner Child, Aligned Life Coaching, Tarot & Intuitive Guidance, Astrology and Soul Plan & Life Purpose.
Each service has a different purpose and structure. The nature, duration and cost of the service you choose will be made clear before you book.
I work within my professional competence and may decline or discontinue work where I believe your needs would be better supported by another practitioner, healthcare professional or specialist service. This is consistent with good professional practice around competence and appropriate referral.
2. Free Meet Me Call
I offer a free 20-minute Meet Me call for prospective Counselling, Shadow Work, Parenting Your Inner Child and Aligned Life Coaching clients.
This gives us an opportunity to briefly discuss what has brought you to me, answer questions and consider whether working together feels appropriate.
There is no obligation to book following this call.
3. Longer-Term & Structured Work
Some approaches, including Shadow Work and Parenting Your Inner Child, are offered as structured journeys over an agreed number of sessions.
The structure, expected number of sessions and total cost will be explained before you commit.
For longer-term work, we will regularly consider how the work is progressing. Either of us may decide that continuing is no longer appropriate. Where possible, I encourage therapeutic endings to be discussed rather than ending unexpectedly.
This reflects good-practice guidance that fixed limits and planned endings should be made clear as part of contracting.
4. Your Participation
Therapeutic and coaching work is collaborative.
I will bring my professional training, experience, insight and commitment to our work. You remain responsible for your own decisions, choices and actions both during and outside our sessions.
No particular outcome can be guaranteed. Personal growth and change depend upon many factors, including your circumstances, participation and willingness to apply what emerges from our work.
5. Spiritual Services
Tarot, Astrology, Soul Plan, Reiki and other spiritual or complementary approaches are intended to provide insight, reflection, guidance or complementary support.
They are not substitutes for medical, psychiatric, psychological, legal or financial advice or treatment and should not be used as such.
I do not claim to predict a fixed future. Spiritual and intuitive guidance should support rather than replace your own judgement, choice and free will.
You remain responsible for what you choose to do with any guidance you receive.
For Reiki specifically, UK Reiki Federation standards state that Reiki does not replace conventional medical treatment and practitioners should not advise clients to discontinue prescribed medication.
6. Scope of Practice & Suitability
My practice is not an emergency, crisis or specialist psychiatric service.
I may be unable to work with you where your needs fall outside my competence or where specialist clinical or multidisciplinary care is required. This may include acute psychiatric crisis, active psychosis, significant risk of harm, active eating disorders, substance dependence or other circumstances requiring specialist intervention.
Having a history of such experiences does not automatically prevent us working together on another area of your life, provided the work is appropriate and safe.
I do not diagnose medical or psychiatric conditions, prescribe medication or advise you to change or discontinue prescribed treatment.
7. Confidentiality
What you share with me will normally remain confidential.
There are circumstances in which confidentiality may need to be limited, including where:
disclosure is required by law;
I believe there is a serious risk of harm to you or another person;
safeguarding responsibilities arise;
you have expressly consented to information being shared.
Where possible and appropriate, I would aim to discuss a disclosure with you first.
Therapeutic client work may also be discussed within professional supervision. Where possible, identifying information will be minimised.
Both CMA and mainstream counselling good-practice guidance require clients to understand the foreseeable limits of confidentiality before work begins.
8. Records & Data Protection
I maintain appropriate confidential client records and handle personal information in accordance with applicable UK data-protection law.
Records will be securely stored and only retained for as long as required by applicable professional, legal and insurance requirements.

9. Fees & Payment
Current fees are displayed on the Rates, Booking & Payment page.
Payment may be made using the payment methods shown there.
Payment is required according to the terms stated when booking. A booking is not confirmed until any required payment or deposit has been received.
For structured programmes, the payment schedule and any deposit required will be made clear before you commit.
10. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or rearrange a session.
Where at least 24 hours' notice is provided, the session may be rearranged or any applicable refund processed in accordance with the booking arrangement.
Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, and missed appointments, may be charged in full because that appointment time has been reserved for you.
If I need to cancel a session, I will offer an alternative appointment or refund the affected session.
11. Online Booking & Your Cancellation Rights
This one matters legally.
Where you purchase services online or otherwise at a distance, UK consumer law can provide a 14-day cancellation period for service contracts. If you specifically ask for a service to begin during that cancellation period, different rules can apply once performance of the service begins.
Therefore your checkout/booking process needs appropriate wording covering the client's request for services to begin within that period where relevant.
12. Online Sessions
Online sessions are generally provided through Zoom.
You are responsible for having a suitable device, reliable internet connection and a private environment in which you can participate safely and without being overheard.
For therapeutic work, I may request your current location and appropriate emergency/contact information.
If a session cannot proceed because of a significant technical problem on my side, I will rearrange the session without additional charge.
13. Working Internationally
Online services may be available to clients outside Northern Ireland and the wider UK.
However, professional, insurance and legal requirements differ between jurisdictions. I reserve the right to confirm that I am appropriately able and insured to work with you before accepting your booking.
14. Communication Between Sessions
Email and messaging may be used for reasonable practical communication such as arranging or changing appointments.
I do not provide an emergency or crisis service between sessions.
Therapeutic support ordinarily takes place within our agreed sessions unless we have expressly agreed otherwise.
Clear boundaries around between-session contact are part of recognised good contracting practice.
15. Recording Sessions
Therapeutic sessions are not routinely recorded.
Certain spiritual services, including Tarot, may be voice recorded for you only with your knowledge and explicit agreement.
No session will be recorded without consent.
16. Ending Our Work
You may choose to end our work together at any time.
For longer therapeutic work, I encourage us to discuss the ending where possible so that the work can be concluded appropriately.
I may also recommend ending or pausing our work if I believe that continuing is no longer beneficial, falls outside my competence, presents an unacceptable risk, or another practitioner or service would better meet your needs.
Any refund due for prepaid, unused services will be determined according to the booking terms and your applicable statutory rights.
17. Professional Standards
I am committed to practising ethically, maintaining appropriate professional boundaries, continuing my professional development and working within the limits of my training and competence.
I am a registered member of the Complementary Medical Association (CMA) and a member of the UK Reiki Federation, and work in accordance with the professional standards applicable to the services I provide. CMA requires members to maintain insurance, protect confidentiality, maintain records, respect clients' beliefs and undertake continuing professional development. UKRF similarly requires practitioner members to adhere to its professional Code, maintain confidentiality, respect medical treatment and work within professional limits.
18. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of my service, I encourage you to raise it with me directly so that I have an opportunity to understand and respond to your concern.
Where a complaint cannot be resolved directly, information about any applicable professional-body complaints procedure can be provided.
The CMA maintains a formal complaints and disciplinary process for its registered members.
19. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may occasionally be updated to reflect changes in my services, professional requirements or applicable law.
The version applicable to your booking will be the version provided or available when our agreement is made.
